Derelict Articles
The Derelict is a nippy 36" span combat design for up to .30 2 stroke motors and three channel RC. It has great flying characteristics, handles better than the Dogfighter (in my opinion) and has a good turn of speed, which has advantages and disadvantages in combat.


Derelict Construction

Building a Derelict is pretty straightforward, the 'V' tail is the only area which can put people off, the tail needs bracing which can be done using a number of different materials, and a 'forked' pushrod is needed for elevator control. The flight characteristics of the Derelict make these extra little bits well worth the trouble, here's how we build ours.

My Derelicts

Here are some of my Derelicts, I currently use an MVVS .28 with standard quiet pipe and find the motor likes an apc 9x5 prop.

Derek's Derelict, powered by an Irvine .25 which howls when its got a Graupner 10x4 prop on it, Derek's Derelicts are as quick as mine with the MVVS .28.
